DPD Plumbing & Heating Services carry out landlord inspections on all types of residential property and all makes of gas appliances.
Landlords Obligation
All landlords are legally obliged to have a valid gas safety certificate for the accommodation that they rent out. This has to be given by a Gas Safe registered engineer and renewed on a yearly basis. Therefore, every rental property that has any sort of gas appliance, whether it be a central heating, boiler, gas stove or even a gas fire, requires a Gas Safety Certificate. The record should detail for each gas appliance, the date of inspection, any defects found and remedial action taken.
Repairs and Servicing
If DPD Plumbing & Heating Services find that they need to carry out any repairs within the property or advise on any safety related issues, permission will be gained from the Landlord or property agent, so that DPD Plumbing & Heating Services can record that remedial action has been taken, and that the premises and the appliances are safe for the tenant to use.
